Every year in Lincoln, shortly before graduation, the Seniors of Pius X high school and their parents have a special Mass, followed by a fancy brunch downtown. I think they're holding this year's Mass today even. On May 14, 2007, I was asked to celebrate that Mass at St. John's and preach it. They were the first class I taught as a priest. It was also the first time I ever recorded a homily. Oh, and it was my 1,001st Mass.
